Red on Fifth Avenue.

There is just something about red nails, I can’t even begin to explain myself. There is one red polish which I’ve been reaching for again, and again over the past few months and that is
Fifth Avenue by Essie.

Not only is this hot, red colour pretty much perfect for any season of the year, we all know red’s an all year round colour (no matter what the trends say), but it’s got a special something of an orange undertone to it which I absolutely cannot get enough of! I’m pretty sure that’s one of the reasons it’s become my favourite red nail polish colour.

Over the past few months I have come to LOVE Essie. The formulation of these are super. Opaque, high gloss and long lasting formulas are something I can definitely get used to :)

What do you think of Fifth Avenue by Essie? Have you tried Essie nail polishes before?

The EASIEST smokey eye you will EVER do.

Easy Smokey Eye Video Tutorial

Ah, the smokey eye. Where do I even begin with the eye that is all sultry, black and smoked out? I think I fell in love with this look when none other than Kim Kardashian would sport this back in her early days. It kind of became my signature look for nights out, parties and all that jazz. It’s a look that can work for so many occasions, and sports a good nude lip, which you all know I love.

Smokey Eye Tutorial

But, so many of us want that perfect smokey eye, without the million and one steps but still want it looking fierce. Well, I posted the above picture to my Instagram and so many of you asked me to do a tutorial on the look. My smokey eye literally only has 3 steps which makes it so easy to recreate. I jus knew I had to move this up the list of videos I want to make! So I’m not going to babble on about this too much so you can get ready to watch… So behold my video on how to do an EASY, super smokey eye tutorial :)

An ode to Milani.

Milani Haul

Considering I have been using my Milani products so much since I getting them from America earlier this year (you can watch the HAUL video HERE), I cannot believe they haven’t graced my blog! I had to dedicate a whole post to the goodies I picked up back in January because they are just that darn great! If you haven’t heard of Milani, it’s actually an American drugstore brand which I urge you all to check out next time you can. I went a bit swatch crazy whilst I was in Walgreens and finally decided to pick these gorgeous bits up.

Milani Baked Blusher Dolce Pink and Coralina

Milani Baked Blushers £6.19 HERE

[ Top: Dolce Pink + Bottom: Coralina ]

If you know me, you know I love a good cheek product. A few years ago, I steered clear from shimmery blushers and cheek products in general but over time I have grown to love them. When seeing these two, I snapped them right up – a typical Kaushal choice of pink and coral but look just how pretty they are!

They are super smooth, fine and surprisingly easy to wear (considering the fact that they are super shimmery – possibly the most shimmery blushers I own?). They last all day and give you such a beautiful glow. These will be definitely something I’ll be wearing this summer! They are super similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers and MAS MSFs but for a fraction of the price, need I say more?

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss High Status and Show Stopper

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss $7.49 available HERE

[ Left: High Status + Right: Show Stopper ]

Now, I’m not the biggest fan of lip glosses but because I was recommended to check out the brand I kinda fell in love with two of these! Show Stopper, a beautiful pink-nude and High Status, a nude with gold glittery flecks – an unusual pick for me as I really don’t like glitter glosses. Both are so lovely to wear. They are not sticky at all and almost enhance the whole look of your lips when you wear them.

The shade ‘Show Stopper’ is a lot more pigmented than High Status but both a equally lovely. Unfortunately, the stand I was at wasn’t fully stocked but after trying these, I will be on the look out for more glosses!

Milani Lipstick Nude Creme, Fruit Punch and Flamingo Rose

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks £4.41 each available HERE

[ Top to bottom: Nude Creme, Fruit Punch + Flamingo Rose ]

To add to my ever-growing nude and pink collection of lipsticks, I picked three gorgeous shades which have been getting a lot of love from me recently. There’s just something about a creamy lipstick that sucks me right in, and these are just that (if not more!). I would probably say that they are one of the best in terms of consistency, colour pigment, longevity, smell and finish that I have every tried! Now that’s really saying something. I have actually eyed up some more colours which are on my next America shopping list!

Overall, I have absolutely LOVED my experience with Milani. With it’s really reasonable prices and great products all around, you really can’t go wrong. It’s definitely a brand I want to see cross the shores from USA to UK :)

Have you tried anything from Milani before? If you haven’t, you need to get down to a Milani stand!

#FantasyRemixUK, take 2!

Britney Spears Fantasy Remix UK

If you’re a regular reader of my blog or follow me online at all then you’ll know that my cousin and I went to a Britney Spears dance class recently, which is a part of the launch of her new perfumes, The Naughty Remix and The Nice Remix. You can read my review of the perfume by clicking HERE.

I was actually super excited to go, both my cousin and I to be honest! I took her down for her birthday and it was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had together. Now, we’re not those kinds of people who go out and do weird and wonderful things very often. But for a special occasion like her big 25th birthday, it was just the perfect activity! It’s definitely something we’re never going to forget :)

We arrived just in time for the class and it was packed with people. The instructor was also fab! We all got time to do our thing and bust a move. Now, I’m not gonna lie, I’m no pro. I mean, my Bollywood dancing days are long behind me so picking up the steps wasn’t the easiest but I just can’t begin to tell you how much fun it was! We all got to learn 2 dance routines of hers and literally got to feel like Britney for a day!

Fame Dance Class and Britney Spears

And guess what my beauties! There’s still one more dance class left which is taking place this month :) Tickets are only £25 (booked HERE) and everyone that attends also gets the new fragrance to take home with them! :)

Last calls on the Britney dance class:
26th April at 2.30pm – Queen’s Park, Northwest London

I used to always dream about being a pop star (as you do when you’re 13) but it’s pretty darn hard! The dance class was not only super fun but we also burnt lots of calories and had a little workout too :)

Pop IT with Clinique!

Clinique Cheek Pop 01

We all know just how much I love blushers and pretty much any cheek products. So when this landed in my hands I couldn’t wait to show you just how brilliant they are. These are the NEW Cheek Pop Blushers by Clinique. I have the shades, Ginger Pop and Berry pop. Berry pop being the colour which is so me and Ginger Pop being a colour which I wouldn’t necessarily pick up, but have ended up falling in love with it.

Clinique Cheek Pop 02

Both colours are beau-tee-full. Super silky, smooth and so easily blend-able, you wouldn’t not believe. You really will be left with such a natural looking blush on your cheek – perfect for the sunnier months. They almost remind me of the Tarte blushers but very silky in comparison to them, and not as pigmented but that’s a good thing because it lets you have much more control over your application of it.

Ginger Pop

It was the first time for me trying out Clinique’s blushers and so far I am super impressed with them! The Clinique Cheek Pops also come in ‘Plum Pop’ a beautiful hint of purple and ‘Peach Pop’ which is a gorgeous coral colour. If you are going past a Clinique counter any time soon, definitely give these a swatch. You won’t be disappointed :)

P.S - I’m not gonna lie, I’ve had Snoop Dog’s ‘Pop it like its hot’ song stuck in my head since writing this :)

Easy, big, voluminous hair.

Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray Review 01

We all just want big hair, sometimes. Let’s face it, there’s nothing like waking up with big, voluminous hair every morning – wishful thinking! But even for me, someone with thick hair, it does lack that extra oomph and volume I wish I naturally had. This is where Charles Worthington’s Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray comes into play. I have recently falling in love with this magical spray. Cue before and after pictures.

Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray Before and After

Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray Before and After 02

You can clearly see that this bad boy does amazing things to hair. I tent to spray this into my roots and ends until I’m happy with the final look, as I jush up my hair at the same time. It’s really just so simple to use. A lot of people compare this to the uber expensive Oribe Dry Texturising Spray  but with better hold. The Oribe spray comes in at £39 (yes, that’s not a typo) for 300ml whereas this little gem is only £6.99 for 100ml (and not to forget your Boots points!).

I can only think of one downside to this spray which is the texture and feel of your hair the day after using it – stickyish comes to mind? Well, you can definitely tell you’ve got some hairspray-y thing going on but if you can get past that (which I after a few weeks have) this is a MUST HAVE product. I use this both on natural, straight and curly hair :)

Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray Review 02

I for one, LOVE this texturising spray for the days I want easy, fuss free, big and voluminous hair. After trying this from the Charles Worthington range I am super impressed and definitely want to get my hands on some more bits :)

Have you tried this before? Is there anything you’d recommend from Mr. Worthington’s range?

Are you Naughty or Nice? #FantasyRemixUK

Britney Spears Naughty or Nice Perfume Launch

If you know me then you’ll know that my all time celebrity fragrance is Britney Spears’ Fantasy – one of my all time favourite sweet scents which is actually also the best-selling celebrity fragrance in the UK! I was so excited to hear that she had launched a new set and couldn’t quite wait to try them out. In comes ‘Fantasy The Naughty Remix‘ and ‘Fantasy The Nice Remix‘. They come with little bracelets around the bottle, which personally I wouldn’t wear, but make perfect for gifts!

Unlike anything she’s done with previous scents, Britney created the Naughty and Nice Remixes by highlighting certain notes in the original fantasy fragrance – which I adore.

The Naughty Remix (from £23) – This is such a unique scent which has really grown on me for the past few days. The core notes include jasmine petals, white chocolate orchid and not forgetting the delicious cupcake(!). It’s a very deep scent with a real musky feel to it. Ideally, I would wear this in the colder months.

The Nice Remix (from £23) – this is my favourite out of the two. It’s a fruity scent which really highlights the kiwi from Britney’s original fantasy fragrance, with the beautiful core notes of yummy cupcake and jasmine petals – all three things which I genuinely love eating and/or smelling! Overall, the scent is quite fruity with the perfect amount of musk!

If you are a big fan of the Britney fragrances or even if you haven’t tried them out, I would definitely give these a sniff next time you’re in your local Superdrug.

Fame Dance Class and Britney Spears

Not only that, in true Britney style, to celebrate the launch of her perfume Frame are hosting 2 Britney Spears Dance Workshops in London over the course of April. Tickets are only £25 (booked HERE) and everyone that attends also gets the new fragrance to take home with them! :)

Date + locations include:
5th April at 3.30pm – Shoreditch, London
26th April at 2.30pm – Queen’s Park, Northwest London

My cousin and I are popping along to the class this Saturday so if anyone is free and wants to pop along, come down and see me! It would be great to meet some of you :) We can’t wait to get our “Naughty’ and ‘Nice’ dance moves on!

Have you tried any Britney fragrances before? Will you be popping along to any of her dance classes?

On your marks, get SET and go!

Setting Powders

One thing, one must remember to do is to set its face before you go go! Over the years, I’ve learnt it’s so crucial to set your foundation with a setting powder. After dabbling into coloured setting powder (yes, I’m talking about you MAC Mineralise Skinfinish & Rimmel’s Stay Matte powders) but my skin just looks a whole lot different when I use HD powders & my Ben Nye Banana powder.

What is a HD powder you may ask? Simples. It’s a super finely milled white power which you use to set  your foundation. Not only is it unnoticeable whilst leaving your skin matte, it also makes you look extra amazing in photography (with and without flash). Did I mention that they last for absolutely ages to?! ;)

Make Up For Ever HD Powder - My favourite is pretty much the first HD powder on the market which is the Make Up For Ever HD Powder. Now I’ve been using this sample for a while now and it’s fair to say that next time I place an order on Sephora or can manage to get my hands on it, I will be snapping it up (even if it is $34 odd). This bad boy camouflages into your skin and simply is one the best HD setting powders out there!

ELF High Definition Powder – if you’re after a cheaper alternative to the MUFE HD powder, this this little black box is just for you. For just under £7 this will pretty much do the same job by not hurting your bank.

Ben Nye Banana Powder – although this isn’t suitable for setting you entire face, on the days where I’ve done a heavy contour I love setting my highlighted areas with this powder. The dimension this gives my face is just unreal. You can read my full review of it HERE.

My Perfect Imperfections.

I love watching a good tag. I was so pleased when I got tagged by the lovely Rupinder (Blog & YouTube) to do the perfect imperfections video. It’s so incredibly important to love yourself. I mean we all have issues with the way we look. But the things you may not like about yourself others may love. We are all so fortunate that we’ve been given the opportunity to live that we shouldn’t let things get the better of us. I wanted to share with you my perfect imperfections; 3 things I dislike about myself and 3 things I love about myself. Although I don’t like to dwell on things I don’t like about myself, there’s one thing for sure…

Self love is EVERYTHING.
