I get SO many questions about my hair so I thought I’d dedicate a quick blog post to it. If you follow me on Instagram, Facebook or even YouTube then you will know that I had my hair re-done on Monday with a beautiful friend and hair stylist of mine, Nicky Lazou.
Let’s talk the cut. I try to keep my hair as natural looking as possible with the slights amount of layers at the back and just enough around my face to give it some shape and body. It’s taken me a long while to get it this length. What I find works the best to help hair grow quicker, is the reduce the amount of heat you put onto it. It did wonders to the time it took to grow my locks out and I recommend it to anyone who’s after longer hair.
Now, onto the colour and Nicky Lazou. When I go to see her, I generally just tell her to do what she wants, because she after all is the artist! I have found her to be the only person who is able to lift my hair so there are no red or horrible ginger undertones! So for all you dark haired ladies, you will want her to work her magic on your hair!
So first thing’s first, Nicky Lazou based in Birmingham and is BLOODY AMAZING. I personally would say she is one of the best hair stylists around. Secondly, I can’t tell you the colour of my hair. She uses many techniques such as balayage, free painting and face framing (to name a few) to create such beautiful pieces of art on her lovely clients’ hair. My hair for example is a custom blend of colours and shades to create that perfect, grown out, sombré/fondré look – one which I LOVE. Lastly, yes… You do need Nicky Lazou in your life! If you’d like to keep up with her don’t forget to follow her on Instagram, Facebook and also her YouTube channel!
I will now leave you with her video on how to DIY Blowdry your hair at home! Enjoy my angels ♥
