My YSL Lippy Collection.

Hi my lovelies. How are you all doing? Happy Leap Year eve… ? Any of your ladies out there thinking of proposing to your other half tomorrow?! I just got back from my gym induction (YES!! After umming & ahhing I finally joined!) & am completely shattered! So, a couple of weeks ago I decided to make a list of things I want to blog about… One being my YSL Rouge Volupte lippy collection! Meet these 5 beauties…

RRP: £23.50 (you can get some great deals on these on Secretsales.com HERE)

I’m not going to bang on too much about how truly AMAZING they are, because I’ve said it many times on my blog. If you can’t afford to fork out almost £40 on a Tom Ford lippy, then this is the next best thing! The texture, colour, scent & glossy finish is totally worth the £23.50! They do tend to get used up fairly quickly, but hey! I always try & get these when they’re either on offer or from duty free ;) Here are some swatches for the colours I own…

I think the colour I regret buying has to be ‘Sweet Honey’ but all the other colours tend to get worn at least once a week :) I’m kinda annoyed that not all of the Rouge Voluptes seem to have the little mirror on the lids… It’s definitely one of the perks of owning one! YSL, if by any chance you’re reading this please sort it out!

Have you tired the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks before? What colours are your favourite? Or which colours are on your mental shopping list? I really want to try ‘Peach Passion’ or #13 next!

Time to wake up!

Hey bellas. How are you all? The other week I bought a magazine after ages, I got ELLE & it’s got a free Soap & Glory mascara – if you’re looking to try it, get you hands on this issue! So, whilst flicking through it I came across a sample of Rimmel’s new ‘Wake me up’ foundation. I’ve seen loads of adverts of this on TV so was actually quite excited to try it. Personally, I felt there was enough product in the sachet for two faces!

It has to be the first time I’ve tried a sample in a magazine & felt the need to have it in my life! LOL. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!! One of the main reasons why I needed it was purely because it has little flecks of gold in it – leaving my face looking very fresh & well… totally awake!

RRP: £8.99 (currently on offer at boots for £5.99!) HERE
I’m shade ‘True Nude’

It comes in a cute glass bottle with a bright orange lid. Smells AMAZING, almost berry-like! I was expecting a ‘pouring’ foundation bottle (which I absolutely hate) but to my pleasant surprise I found a pump! They are way more hygienic & quite frankly much cleaner & easier to use – KUDOS to Rimmel for thinking about us beauty lovers ;) It also has a SPF of 15, I’m big on SPFs & prefer wearing foundations with it in.

I tried to picture the hint of shimmer in the foundation – which you can slightly see on the right picture (with flash). If you like mixing a highlighter into your foundation, this is probably the BEST foundation to give you that glowing finish without having to faff about with mixing two products together at a price that isn’t going to break the bank.

I thought I’d add a picture of what it looks like on, as foundation can look different on the back of your hand to your face. I quite like that I don’t need to powder my face or use any highlighter. I love the LUMINOSITY it leaves behind.

I’ve been wearing this every day for almost a week now & love the results I’ve got from it. For the price you pay for 30ml bottle, it definitely meets the outcome I get from using high end foundations!

If you read my blog/know me you’ll know that I prefer light to medium coverage & this is more medium to heavy which is probably why I would leave this as a ‘night time’ or ‘going out’ foundation rather than an everyday thing. But I’m keen to mix this with my daily moisturiser to create my own ‘Wake Me Up Tinted Moisturiser’. Keep an eye out for any updates I make on this post or on Twitter to let you lovelies know. I think this & myface.cosmetics’ mymix foundations have to be my FAVOURITE high street ones :)

What’s your favourite high street foundation? Have you tried Rimmel’s Wake Me Up?

NOTD: Pink Punch.

Hi doll faces. Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Mine’s currently consisting of lots of TV, chilling out & getting my blogging back into gear! It feels like an actual lifetime since I last did any NOTDs. If you know me, you’ll know that I love wearing bright polishes. So, today I picked ‘PINK PUNCH‘ to grace my nails…

RRP: £5 available from HERE.

Firstly, I have to say that I absolutely HATE the smell of Models Own polishes :( Yeah, I know, I know! All polished smell but these have to be the ones that have the most potent polish smells of them all. Nevertheless, the colour is great. It makes you look twice at the fluorescent finish – eye-catching indeedy!

It’s a little bit misleading though as there isn’t much pink in the colour. It’s more ORANGE than anything else. I really wanted to stop thinking about this horrible weather & am hoping this polish will make spring & summer come soon!

It took 2 coats to get this coverage – I think 3 coats would have made this NOTD very opaque but I was feeling lazy to do so. I own about 2 Models Own polishes but think I may have to have another look to see if they have any other bright colours :) Any recommendations?

What polish are you wearing this weekend? Have a safe weekend my bellas :)

BECCA Beach Tint.

Evenin’ ladies! How are you all doing? I’m absolutely dreading the snow that’s gonna fall tonight. If you know me you’ll know that I hate the stuff with passion. Today, I’ve got a quick review of a product from BECCA. I had heard really good things about the brand but had never tried anything from them before. The lovely ladies from BECCA asked me if I would like to try & review one of their Beach Tints out. Since last summer, I’ve been keeping an eye out for lots of cream & cheek tints because I find that they last much longer.

BECCA Beach Tint in ‘Strawberry’ – RRP: £20 available from HERE

Firstly, I think the price point for this lip & cheek stain is slightly too high for a 7ml product. By paying around £4 more, you can get 12.5ml of Benefit’s lip & cheek stains. Saying that, these BECCA Beach Tints come in 7 different colours AND are scented! I absolutely love scented make-up. Why can’t all make-up be scented? The packaging is nice & is easy to apply. I think if you’re not used to these kind of products you might find it hard to blend but you get used to it.

The product is SUPER PIGMENTED! Which means the 7ml will last you quite a while. It smells amazing which is why I liked wearing it on my lips as I could make use of the strawberry goodness! I’m more of a pink blusher wearer myself so was interested to see how it would look on my cheeks.

This is what it looks like on. It’s a gorgeous red with orange undertones! I would never have picked up this kind of colour for  my cheeks but after trying this I’ve decided to try more blush colours. It stays on my cheeks all day long. I’ve worn it for a week, every day from about 8/9 in the morning till 8/9 in the evening & it doesn’t budge. It’s also WATER RESISTANT which would make it the perfect product for when you’re on holiday.

I wouldn’t recommend wearing it alone on your lips as it can be very drying. But, I wore it with a bit of Carmex underneath & surprisingly it lasted me a good 6 hours! Personally, I’d leave this for my cheeks.

Would I buy this? If it wasn’t for their beautiful scents, I probably wouldn’t. But saying that, I’m eyeing up the guava, grapefruit & watermelon shades/flavours!! How could I resist?! I would recommend it to those who want a blush/cheek tint to last them all day long, who don’t mind spending £20.

After being introduced to BECCA, I’ve had a good look through their make-up range & am eager to try their concealers & ‘Shimmering Skin Perfector’ – it sounds & looks diving!

If you’re interested in trying BECCA’s Beach Tints they’ve currently got this shade on OFFER (with 20% off!). All you need to do is enter the promo code BBE20 at checkout on the BECCA website. You can find the Beach Tints HERE.

Have you tried any BECCA products before? Is there anything you’d recommend? What do you think about scented make-up? Love or loathe? Ciao for now dolls :)
