Lil Miss. Rosh.

Hello everyone. Hope you’re having a fab week! Let me introduce myself, my name is Roshni and I blog about beauty, lifestyle and weight loss. Being friends with Kaushal, I was super excited to do a guest post for her lovely blog! Anyway, let me get onto the post! On Saturday evening, I went to my nephews 1st birthday party! Here are some photos:

My outfit is from Bombay Looks- a store which I use regularly to buy Indian outfits :)

My beautiful niece and I

I had literally come back from holiday, and I was sporting a tan! Unfortunately, my foundation was far too light for me, so I compensated by adding lots of matte bronzer! I didn’t want to fork out £20 for a new shade of foundation (my tan fades quickly anyway) so I used what I already had in my collection!

Face makeup:
Studio Fix Powder Foundation in C40
Mac Moisture cover concealer in NC30for under eyes
Mac Fix +to set (this makes my skin look dewy, which is very helpful as I use a power based foundation)

Cheeks:
Benefit Hoola Bronzerall over face
Body Shop Blush Trio in Warm Sunset on apples of the cheeks

I decided not to add highlighter on my cheekbones as the blusher already had lots of shimmer, and I did not want to look like a glitter ball!

Eyes (sorry about the rubbish photo!):
I used my naked palette for this look!

Urban Decay Half Baked and Smog all over the lid.
Urban Decay Creep on the outer V and blended slightly in the crease.
Mac Cork eyeshadow on the crease
Art Deco eyeshadow in no.29on brow bone.
Collection 2000 liquid eyelinerto line upper and lower line.
Sleek kajal eyelinerin the inner rim of the eye
Eyelure lashes in no.101.

Lips:
Bobbi Brown lipstick in Carnation

I’ve been struggling with applying fake lashes recently but I’ve noticed that they make a massive difference to my eyes. They really open them up and add a glamorous touch to my makeup.

I wanted to keep the main emphasis on my lashes, therefore I did not extend the eyeshadow above the crease. As I have very small eyes, I try not to add too many dark colours near the crease because it closes up my eyes even more! My tip for small eyes is to use a warm brown eyeshadow to outline the eye socket in order to create depth.
Hope you all enjoyed this post!!

Eeeeks -Roshni is so gorgeous isn’t she? I love all her blog posts & she’s such a sweet person. Check out her fab blog HERE :)

Hello Hello!

It has been far too long since I last blogged, ever since returning from Dubai I just haven’t been feeling it. But… the lovely Kaushal invited me to do a guest-blog for her. How could I refuse?!

In my short time away from the blogosphere my addiction to eBay has heightened to critical levels! I saw an amazing retro style tea dress in the window of a second-hand shop here in Manchester called “Cow”. I went up to the counter and they said it was reserved, gutted!

Ever since then I’ve spent day after day relentlessly searching for retro tea dresses on eBay. After many fruitless, joyless days I stumbled across that pot of gold I was searching for and it reared it’s head in the form of a green polka dot dress.

The colour is a beautifully stunning shade of green with a massive injection of vibrancy and I just loved the fact that I’ve never came across anything like this before on the high street or in boutiques! And how much did this little gem set me back? £3. Yes, that’s right, THREE of your finest English Pounds Sterling. Bargain!

Now that I had this awesome dress, me being me, I obviously needed to match it up with some jewellery, y’know a ring and necklace, that kinda thing. I found the perfect match in H&M, this green rock. My sister thinks it looks a bit like Kryptonite, of course I laughed nervously and told her that Kryptonite doesn’t exist. I think she bought it. The plan for world domination is still on…

I paired it all up with a Pumpkin necklace I found completely by accident in my favourite clothing store in the world ever: Ark. It’s made by a company called Junkshop. I’d never heard of them before but if they can keep producing little masterpieces like this they’ll definitely be worth keeping an eye out for!

Lipgloss and Leopard Print.

Hello there all you Beauty-Fulfilled readers!

As you already know, Kaushal’s blog is being taken over by guest bloggers while she’s away on holiday and today’s my turn to post! I’m Sriya from Lipgloss And Leopard Print and this is the first guest post I’ve ever done and I’m really glad it’s for this blog as it’s definitely one of my favourites! Anyway, I thought I’d do a post on my favourite products that I use to style my hair whether it be straight, wavy or curly. Hope you like it! Here we go..

Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment

Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner: I’ve just started using Organix’s Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. For a while now I’ve been on the hunt for a good shampoo and conditioner that doesn’t contain sulphates and parabens and so far I’m really loving this one! It’s the only sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner that I’ve actually got on with. It smells good and it leaves my hair looking oh so glossy and healthy! These products also protect from styling heat and UV damage which is a bonus and the shampoo lathers well unlike most sulphate and paraben free shampoos I’ve tried.

Joico K-Pak Moisture Intense Hydrator: As an intensive treatment for when my hair is feeling like it needs a treat, I love using Joico’s K-Pak Moisture Intense Hydrator. I apply it to damp hair for 3-5 minutes and then rinse. This stuff smells amazing and it makes my hair so silky, shiny and healthy after I use it. I’d highly recommend this!

Mousse & Hairspary

Pantene Pro-V Enhanced Layers Mousse & Perfect Curls Mousse: When I want to achieve effortless messy curls, I scrunch in either the enhanced layers mousse or the perfect curls mousse to wet hair. This really helps to enhance my curls and add volume and it holds really well compared to when I curl my hair with a curling tong/straightener. It also smells amazing just like most Pantene products and it has that signature Pantene scent to it which I love. I’ve been using these mousses for years now.. I’ve tried others but I always end up coming back to these ones!

L’oreal Elnett Hairspray: After I’ve applied the mousse and my hair has dried, I spritz it with some Elnett hairspray to make the curls last longer. The one I am using at the moment is the Extra Strength hairspray with Pro-Keratin but I usually just pick up any Elnett hairspray as I like them all! If I curl my hair using a curling tong, rollers or a straightener then I also apply some hairspray once it’s styled to keep the curls in place.

Serum, Crème, & Leave in Treatment

L’anza Neem Plant Silk Serum: This is my all time favourite serum and it can be applied to wet or dry hair. I like applying this to dry hair after it has been straightened or curled or even on my natural hair! This serum is AMAZING.. Unlike many other serums I’ve tried this one provides instant shine and softness without weighing my hair down or making it greasy. It also protects your hair from UV rays and you only need to use a teeny bit as a small amount goes a long way. I’ve had mine for a good few months now and you can see in the picture above that it’s practically still full. I’d highly recommend this product to everyone.. I can’t live without it!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Agent: This is a product that I’ve been using for years! I apply it to my hair after I’ve straightened or curled it if I’m not using the L’anza serum to get rid of any frizz and static hair. It’s an absolute must have for me.

CHI Keratin Mist: This is a leave-in strengthening treatment that I’ve been using for a while now. I spray about 3-4 pumps into dry hair and then straighten or curl. With this product a little goes a long way which means it lasts for AGES. This Keratin Mist really makes my hair look and feel silky without weighing it down and it’s supposed to be a heat protectant too which is perfect as I don’t have one. It smells really strong like aftershave though which I like but others may not.

Dry Shampoo & Hair Oil

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Batiste dry shampoo has been a staple in my hair care routine for years and I don’t know what I would do without it now. For those of you that don’t know what dry shampoo is, it’s basically a product that you spray into your roots, massage in and then comb over to revitalise greasy hair! It’s so quick and easy to use and comes in handy on those days you don’t have time to wash your hair. At the moment I’m using Batiste Blush but my other favourites include Batiste Tropical, Boho and Brit. These dry shampoo’s are also a great way to add volume to your hair!

Quick tip: When I have don’t have any dry shampoo left, I use talcum powder instead.. It’s messy but it gets the job done!

Vatika Coconut Hair Oil: I put this coconut oil in my hair for a couple of hours or sometimes even overnight as often as I can to really nourish and condition my hair. I always notice such a huge difference when I use it and I’d really recommend using an oil in your hair at least once a fortnight if you can. You can also use other oils such as almond oil, jasmine oil and moroccan oil which are all just as good if not better!

So there you have it, my favourite hair products! What are your favourites? :)

WOW – that post was truly inspiring! My hair care isn’t as amazing as Sriya’s – she’s totally made me wanna sort it out! If you have any recommendations, do leave me a comment :) Also don’t forget to check out Sriya’s wonderful blog HERE.

Wedding Celebrations

A couple of weeks ago I attended a wedding… It was utterly beautiful! I got to spend lots of time with the bride & her wonderful family! I’m sure some of you have been waiting for this post to let me get straight to it!

This is the sari I wore to the mehndi (henna) night! I wanted something colourful, yet light as I knew dancing would be involved! As soon as I saw this in the shops I knew I had to have it :) I LOVE the colour combination, it’s really different!

LIPS

This is the sari that I wore to the pre-wedding ceremony. It’s a gorgeous half net sari – the colour is super nice, I don’t own anything like it! The bride got me this especially all the way from India :)

I also had my hair done for the first time, ever!! I was afraid it wouldn’t last in my hair as it’s quite long and super thick! But it turned out lovely – we all had fresh flowers in our hair, it was such a ELEGANT touch :)

My favourite sari had to be the one I wore to the reception! Black & gold NEVER goes out of fashion & this one is amazing! So light, easy to move in it but lovely & sparkly at the same time! Again, this was easy to put on as it came ready pleated at the front & at the shoulder :)

It has gorgeous gem & beaded work on the hip of the sari as you can see above & below…

Along with similar embroidery on the shoulder! There’s a close-up of it above & from a short distance below :)

For the reception we literally had 20-30 minutes to get ready (which is why most of my make-up stayed the same apart from a few additions on top of what I already had on) :)

Mineralize Skin Finish Powder.
Illuminating concealer by Collection 2000 (LOVE this!!).

These are a few of my favourite pictures from the wedding :) It went so well & I had a fantastic time… I want to do it all over again :)

P.S – I got all of my sari’s (minus the one from India) from ANOKHI Sari’s in Leicester – they’re website isn’t any ASOS but I would highly recommend this shop if you’re based in &/or around that area. My sari’s for the wedding were ONE-OFF designer pieces… If you’re like me & you want designer sari’s (that no one else will have) your best bet is to go to the store :)

Are you faux real?

They're Real mascara by Benefit RRP £18.50

If you read my previous POST you would have noticed I had a mascara in there which I’ve been using a lot recently… It’s the one & only THEY’RE REAL mascara by Benefit*. Now, I’m a huge fan of Benefit and they’re BadGal Lash (which reminds me that I need to get some more of it!) so was super intrigued to see what this was like.

The brush is designed to coat each & every lash of yours… Including the ones you didn’t even think you had!

The packaging I LOVE – I can’t really think of anything by the brand which I didn’t like packaging wise :) It feels more LUXURIOUS than their BadGal Lash. I really like the colour of the tube too.

The  mascara wand is made from RUBBER. About a year ago I wouldn’t touch rubber mascara wands… I didn’t think they’d do anything positive to my lashes. But, boy was I wrong! After trying one out I find myself drawn to these mascara wands all the time!

The end of the wand reminds me of Givenchy’s mascara… which I would find weird using without having a proper, long brush to comb through my lashes. This however, has BEST of both worlds :) Now it’s time for the before & after pictures…

I don’t curl my lashes. So bearing that in mind & the fact that I only applied one coat… the mascara has lifted my lashes, coated them from root to tip & lengthened them at the same time :)

I wouldn’t say it looks like I’ve got fake lashes, but I suppose that depends on how you define fake lashes… But some of the girls did think I had lash inserts :) It definitely gives them an extra oomph!

Application is super easy & the formulation of the mascara is great – it dries like a treat :) I’ve been using the tip to coat my outer lashes – I wouldn’t reccomend using it to separate your lashes because it usually has a lot of product on the tip.

If you don’t dip the brush into the product enough it can dry & make your lashes clumpy – so you gotta be careful. Having said that…

On a whole, I’m super happy with this product! Would I buy this again? Yes! Would I have bought this when it officially launches? Hell to the YES!! I’m looking forward to this coming out in waterproof too!

Will you be picking this mascara up when it launches in the next few weeks?

P.S – Watch this space for FLASH SALE details of this mascara which is going on sale 3 weeks before its nationwide launch!!

*This product was sent to me – honest opinion as always!
