I didn’t realise how much of a FAIRYTALE WEDDING Catherine & Williams wedding was until watching it this morning. Normal girl, falls in love & marries her Prince :) They are now officially the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge :) Congratulations to you both! I absolutely loved Kates dress as well as her make-up (yes, she did it herself! I’m so proud of her simple, yet elegant look today). The happy couple are indeed PERFECT for each other!

I hope they live happily ever after. In my opinion, true love does exist in the world… I hope you lovely ladies find your Prince (if you haven’t found him already that is!) – I sure have! What did you do today to celebrate? Any street parties/BBQs/house parties? I’d love to know :)

FOTD: Vegas Volt & Delinquent.

Hi my loves! I’ve been wearing all the bits I got over the weekend (yes, even sitting at home! LOL) & totally loving them all too. As you probably know, I’ve been wearing lots of eye liner & lip stick recently so I put together this quick FOTD for you dolls – a lot of you wanted to know how ‘Vegas Volt’ looked like on & here you have it…

FACE
You Rebel tinted moisturiser by Benefit.
Mineralize Skinfinish Natural face powder by MAC.
Garnier Tinted Eye Roll On as a concealer.

CHEEKS
Hoola by Benefit as a contour.
Super Orgasm by Nars as highlight.

EYES
Maximum Curl Mascara by Natio.
Delinquent 24/7 Glide On Eye Shadow Pencil by Urban Decay as top liner.

LIPS
Vegas Volt by MAC.

I’ve just got to say that I wore ‘Delinquent’ to work today. I put it on before 7Am this morning & it hasn’t budged, nor smudged or even transferred onto my eye lid. Can you say AMAZING? I prefer these to their eye liners as the pencil is thicker & after my last experience with the tip breaking off (because it’s way too soft) I’m happy that I found these! I’m so glad I’m getting more colours, I can’t wait to show you what they’re like :) I think these will be in my staple beauty bag!

Also, ‘Vegas Volt’ is such a gorgeous coral/orange colour with lovely pinky/peachy undertones. Definitely a SUMMER colour, that’s for sure!

What ONE PRODUCT are you loving the most recently? I’d love to know (& possibly, even maybe, add it to my wish list ;))

P.S – Are you dolls doing anything for the Royal Wedding?

Weekend haul & chit chat.

Hey there doll faces! It honestly feels like I’ve been out of the blogging loop for AGES but I’m back with a haul & a general chit chat, to catch up with you all! So, let me start off with yesterday. I went shopping with my mum… & ended up buying a lot more than expected! I was only supposed to get one lipstick but came back home with LOTS of things…

Okay, so these are just make-up/skincare bits I got. I usually don’t buy so much in one go but Debenhams had 10% off of everything in store… & I couldn’t resist :)

Benefit – Hoola
RRP £23.50

I was originally going to get Hoola by Benefit when I got ‘Bella Bamba’ (but clearly couldn’t resist the PINKNESS of Bella!). Seeing as Summer is now at our doorstep, I need some bronzers in my life :) One thing I love about this bronzer is that it’s MATTE, so I can easily use it as a CONTOUR :) The brush is perfect for this, as it has a SQUARE head, which makes contouring & blending easy peasy. I’m also jet setting off on holiday this year so this will definitely be in my suitcase.

It’ll be gorgeous as an all-over bronzer for when I’m tanned up during summer. The brush is UBER soft & the product has amazing staying power. If you’re after a matte bronzer, I’d definitely recommend Hoola :)

Benefit – Refined Finish Facial Polish
RRP: £17.50

I FINALLY managed to get my hands on the new facial polish/scrub from Benefit’s new skincare range. I fell in love with this during their skincare preview – I knew I had to get my hands on it.

It’s a really refined scrub which doubles up as a face mask – I’m so excited to try this out & hoping it’ll do WONDERS for my skin. I’m starting it tonight so I’ll definitely let you lovelies know how I get on with it :)

Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencil in Delinquent
RRP: £14

As you know, I’ve recently become OBSESSED with coloured eye liner so I picked up this little beauty by Urban Decay. These wonderful, chubby, shadow sticks are perfect to glide over your top lash line. I’ve been wearing it since yesterday & it says on for ages…

The bottom picture is after smudging it quite hard… So you can tell it doesn’t budge much! I’ve ordered 3 more colours in this as they’re PERFECT to brighten your eyes for the Summer. Heck! I think I’d wear these the whole year :)

MAC Chatterbox & Vegas Volt Lip Stick
RRP: £13.50

I had 6 empty MAC bits so took them in for recycling & to get a new lip stick. I was super stuck on which colour to get between Chatterbox & Vegas Volt… & I ended up getting them BOTH! Technically I was getting 2 lipsticks for the price of one :) (minus 10%!! so there was no way I could say no).

I think these swatches explain why I couldn’t pick between the colours  I’ve been loving ‘Amplified Creme’ lipsticks from MAC. My next MAC lippy will have to be ‘Up The Amp’ which my lovely friend Alisha, from UNLEESHD, introduced me to!

MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
RRP: £23

I’m not even going to lie about this foundation – I didn’t need it but because of the 10% off I just had to get it! I’m not a fan of full coverage foundation but MAC’s Studio Sculpt has such a nice DEWY finish, I snapped it up!

Little goes a long way with it, this picture above was literally with the tiniest amount of foundation – score for me as it’ll last me for AGES! Because it’s full coverage I’d mix this with a moisturiser, so I don’t feel too caked on :)

Do you see what I mean about the dewy finish? I totally wouldn’t need to set this with a powder for the sunny days. I’d probably wear this for SPECIAL occasions as I feel it’s a little too much for everyday wear. I have a wedding this year (which I’m super looking forward to!) I’d wear it then, for sure :)

MAC Fix +
RRP: £12.50

I snapped up FIX + spray from MAC – I think I’ll live by this during my holiday this year! It’s so cooling & refreshing for summer & sets your make-up at the same time giving you a soft dewy finish.

This is what it looks like on top of my MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. It give it that extra BOOST of dewy-ness :) I’m loving the sheen & coverage of this! I’ve been playing around with all these bits pretty much all this weekend – I’m like a kid in a candy store when it comes to beauty departments!

Zara Cardigan
RRP: £25.99

I bumped into this BEAUT of a cardigan in Zara – I love cardigans. I like wearing them on Summer/Spring evenings when a jacket seems to be a little too much. It’s got the nicest gold threads, woven into the material, along with pearl buttons. I’m totally wearing this to work too when I’m not wearing a smart blazer :)

Orly – Va Va Voom
RRP: £8.75

I’ve been wearing this on my nails for almost half a week now & I don’t wanna take it off (which is very unlikely for me)! It’s like a highlighter, bright, neon pink & VERY in your face – it totally shouts out Summer & fun :)

… It’s ‘Va Va Voom’ from Orly’s ‘Pin up’ Summer 2011 collection. You can get it HERE from Beauty Bay. I also cannot wait for their ‘Happy’ collection to come out :)

I thought I’d update you on my life a little. I haven’t been blogging much as my old camera was stolen & now I’ve finally got a DSLR!! I’m still learning how to use it properly, but the pictures are crazy, awesome – I promise I’ll get better at them :) I’ve also got a job now too! All those internships paid off & I’m finally working :D Things are looking really well – however, I’ve spend so much money recently I may have to ban myself for a bit ! Sorry for the long post, it was well needed. Now that I’ve got my camera sorted, blogging will be back to normal YIPPEE!

What have you lovelies been doing in this amazing weather? Have you bought anything recently from the sales?

P.S – I’d like to wish everyone that celebrates it, a HAPPY EASTER :) Hope you’ve all been eating lots of chocolate today!

If you have to cry, go outside.

RRP: £14.99 (much cheaper on Play.com though!)

Hi my lovelies. Today I’m gonna do a review of a BOOK :) I’ve recently finished reading ‘If you have to cry, go outside: And other things your mother never told you’ by Kelly Cutrone.

I was really EXCITED to read this as, personally, I find Kelly to be a very strong, passionate, independent woman. Something I’m sure we all would love to be like. If you’ve not heard of her before here’s a little bit of information on her…

She’s known a lot for her presence in MTVs ‘The Hills’ – she was (& still is) such a strong character – but is also extremely well known in the PR world.

As you can tell from the picture above, this book isn’t a guide onto how to become a successful business woman. It is more about Kelly’s journey to where she is at now & tips/tricks to help you deal with life. I thought it’d be a great read & hoping it would help me become a STRONGER PERSON.

Kelly is a very spiritual person – which was very surprising to me. She has high morals, strong values & much more. After reading the book I realised just why she is the way she is. The book has truly helped me to be a stronger person, to not give up & also not to take crap from people/things in life. THINKING POSITIVE IS KEY! Everything I was taught, reading this, including my ‘Tribe Members’ will definitely follow me throughout my life. I don’t want to give too much away in case you wish to read it ;) I thought I’d share my favourite quotes with you dolls :)

“Sometimes, if not most of the time, you find out who you are by figuring out who and what you are not.”

“Dreams won’t always take you on a straight path to destiny, but theyre usually related to what your soul wants.”

“True joy is in progress.”

“If you don’t let what you don’t know stop you from doing your best in every situation, you will surprise yourself over and over.”

“You can’t fake hard work.”

“When you believe in something and truly go after it with all you have, amazing things will happen.”

“The hardest lessons to learn are the ones your soul needs most.”

“I believe all women know in their heart of hearts that they truly are divine and magical, even if they’ve temporarily forgotten.”

“When life deals you blows, there are blessings to be found in them if you look hard enough.”

“My mistakes have been some of the best teachers of my life.”

- Kelly Cutrone

I really liked this page – all 13 tips for dressing to work are a must!! All in all, if you like reading about positivity, life & life stories/experiences this is definitely a must :) She’s got a new book called “Normal Gets You Nowhere” coming out this May which I’ll definitely be getting my hands on :)

What books have you been reading recently? Any interesting reads?

FOTD: Simple Highlighted Eye

Hi my lovelies, I hope you haven’t missed me! I’ve been such a bad blogger recently – I’ve been swamped & super busy running around like a headless chicken. However… I’m back with a FOTD for you dolls!

The gorgeous Alisha from the wonderful blog ‘UNLEESHD‘ is one of my bestest friends. If you don’t follow her blog… Go, go, go!! :) We met up over the weekend & decided last minute to go to a Thai restaurant. I LOVE the place – Thai food is definitely one of our favourite types of food! It has the yummiest Thai green curry, ever! We were truly stuffed on Saturday night! Now onto the FOTD – I kept it super simple but HIGHLIGHTED my brow bone loads. I’ve been doing this a lot recently, I can’t get enough of it :D

FACE
You Rebel tinted moisturiser by Benefit.
Face & Body Foundation by MAC.
Mineralize Skinfinish Natural face powder by MAC.
Lasting Perfection concealer by Collection 2000.

CHEEKS
Mineral Cheek Bone Enhancer by Natio as a contour & highlight – this is STUNNING!! I’ve been wearing it non stop recently. However, I did drop it on concrete floor and the lid broke :( I was so sad when it happened but luckily the compact itself is absolutely fine. Now, that’s what you call good packaging ;)

EYES
Satin Taupe by MAC all over the lid.
The lightest colour from the Purple Haze quad by Avon as a highlight.
Blacktrack by MAC as a top liner.
Exquisite Curl mascara by No. 7.

LIPS
Opera Rose by YSL.
Up The Amp by MAC.

Who else loves to highlight their brow bone? I’ve been loving bright lips recently. I also think I have some sort of obsession with pink lips… What have you been wearing on your lips recently? Any good pink lipstick recommendations?
