Kum Kum Giveaway & Competition!

It’s giveaway time ladies!! I have teamed up with upcoming fine jewellery brand ‘KUM KUM‘ for this giveaway/competition.

If it’s the first time you’re hearing of this brand do not fear as it’s launching in the UK as we speak & definitely one to watch. Kum Kum is a Sweedish company which has broken its way through many international markets including the USA, France, Australia & now has hit the UK with their innovative jewellery pieces. Their chunky rings are absolutely exquisite & there’s nothing quite like it in the market today. For more information on Kum Kum click HERE.

One lucky reader of my blog will win these beautiful fresh water pearl earrings (RRP: £45) which are almost IDENTICAL to the ones Anne Hathaway wore to her film premiere for ‘Love & Other Drugs’.

EOTD: A Quick Spring Thing.

Hey lovelies! I thought I’d post up a quick spring EOTD look which of course includes BRIGHT colours! I’m more of a smokey eye kinda girl myself but am loving a pop of colour on my eyes these days. This was a really quick look that didn’t take longer than 10 minutes to do…

Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk by NYX as a primer.
Golden Lemon MAC Pigment all over the lid.
Mutiny MAC Pigment placed in the middle of the top lash line & blended out to the sides.
Turquoise Gel Liner by No. 7 dabbed & blended on top of Mutiny, in the middle.
Retrospeck by MAC as a highlight.
SuperSHOCK gel liner on the top waterline.
It Stick by Benefit on the lower waterline.
Turquoise Gel Liner by No. 7 on the lower lash line & slightly blended.
Great Lash Mascara by Maybelline.

I suppose you could do something similar using different colour combinations – the list is ENDLESS ;) Will you be wearing bright colours on your eyes this spring/summer? I’m definitely gonna be playing around with them :D

NOTD: Filthy Gorgeous BLAH!

Hey hey my lovelies! Today was a GORGEOUS sunny day where I was, how about you? The sun being out gives everyone a reason to be happy, fun & not to forget COLOURFUL. Although yesterday was gloomy, I felt I needed something bright on my nails (& because Spring is almost here – I’ve even seen daffodils on their way!) Behold…

RRP: £9 available HERE

… ‘BLAH‘ by Filthy Gorgeous. I was sent this last week & have been playing around with it for a few days now & at first this colour scared me a little. But as soon as I got in on my nails I knew it was going straight into my favourites book :)

It looks pretty intense in flash & it s gorgeous bright lime green – perfect for the S/S 2011 season coming up. It can stain your nails & surrounding skin so I HIGHLY recommend using a base coat when using bright, pigmented colours like these. I only needed 2 coats to get it looking like this which is great as you don’t wanna be sitting there for hours on end to get a bright nail colour – well I sure don’t :)

This is what it looks like without the flash. Still a gorgeous, IN-YOUR-FACE lime green! I love changing the colours of my nails – about 3 times a week is normal for me! I love doing these kind of posts so… Be prepared to see a lot of bright NOTD posts as I’m feeling very summery & colourful :D

What have YOU got on your nails? Any bright recommendations?

This product was sent to me.

Ditching the black liner!

Hi my lovely ladies, how are you all doing? I thought I’d quickly show you some STUNNING shoes I saw the other day at the Christian Louboutin boutique in the London Selfridges. I didn’t even look at the price as I was mesmerised by their sparkly-ness!

I quickly read the model name & it was ‘You You’ – if someone could tell me how much they are or if they’re available online anywhere that would be amazing!! Not that I can afford to get them – but I sure can DREAM about it, hehe!

So, back onto the post! I’ve been getting a little bored of wearing black eye liner these days & remembered that I have some different colours.

No7 Limited Edition Spring Collection Gel Liner in Blue – £10
Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen in Navy Blue – £5.50

I recently got the new No. 7 gel liner from their Spring Collection (it looks like a violet colour). It also comes in turquoise & black & after using it, I’m SO tempted to go back for more!! They go on like a treat as well as being super pigmented. I thought I’d pair it with my Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen. Initially, I used this as a GUIDE, so that I wouldn’t mess it up & it would look neat.

I absolutely LOVE the combination of the two as it gives an amazing frosted VIOLET shade! I’ve worn the gel liner alone & it still looks great. but doesn’t give you this exact effect. Its staying power is solid & doesn’t transfer onto your lid either! It comes with a little brush which is also very good to use if you don’t have one in your brush kit.

If you’re wondering, I’ve got ‘Nobility’ by MAC on my lid, ‘Shroom’ by MAC as a highlight, ‘Smolder’ eye liner by MAC & Maximum Curl mascara by Natio on my upper & lower lashes :) After wearing this for a fair few days now…

I’m definitely DITCHING the black liner!

Okay, maybe I lied just a little! I won’t completely ditch it, but seeing as spring’s coming up it’ll be nice to have a bit of colour on my eyes without having to wear eye shadow. I don’t wear eye shadow on a daily basis & this POP of colour on my eyes is more than enough!

Has anyone else tried different coloured eye liners? Or anything from the No. 7 Spring 2011 Collection that they’d recommend?

My Indian Earrings Collection.

Hi dolls. How are we all doing? When I did my ‘BOLLYWOOD EMERALD‘ FOTD, I asked if you lovelies wanted to see my Indian earrings collection so here it is!

These multi-coloured ones have to be my FAVOURITE! I’m not sure if I’d be able to pull them off when wearing a one colour sari but would definitely wear it with possibly a LBD :)

These actually broke (so were much longer) however I tried to fix them but they got a little shorter the original!

I thought I’d show you these! They’re actually my mum’s VINTAGE earrings! Aren’t they beautiful?! My favourite are the red ones in the in the bottom right hand corner :)

My mum got these really nice clear plastic wallets from India to put them in :) I place them all in a box. I love that they’re clear & stay neat – makes my life so much more easier :)

Do you like big earrings? I love them – just like I love chunky rings!

FOTD: Someone like you.

I’m back again cupcakes! So, whilst we are on the subject of how AMAZING Adele was last night at the Brits, I couldn’t help but notice just how stunning her make-up was (you can see a picture of her from last night in the previous post – just scroll down a little). After a conversation over twitter, I said I’d try & re-create it. So here it is my gems! Sorry if it’s not on point, it’s the first time I’ve done anything like this – please bare with me…

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation.
MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer.
ELF HD Powder.

Buff blush by MAC as a contour.
Hocus Focus by Soap & Glory as a highlighter.

Sublime Nature Paint by MAC all over the lid as a primer.
Cranberry & Star Violet by MAC on the lid.
Shroom & Retrospeck in the inner corner.
Satin Taupe & Showstopper by MAC on the outer corner & crease.

Blaktrack Fluidline by MAC as a top liner.
Brown Glimmer Stick by Avon on the lower waterline.
Retrospeck on the inner lower lash line, Cranberry on the middle lower lash line & Showstopper on the out lower lash line – all blended.

Great lash by Maybelline.

Demi Wispies by Ardell.

Sweet Honey YSL Rouge Volutpe Lipstick.
Angel Lipstick by MAC.
Clear lip gloss by Pout.

I had a lot of fun creating this (whilst listening to Adele’s album of course!) The lips look a little on the peachy side in the photos, but in the natural light they looked like a light brownish-pink :) I’m loving the thicker top liner, I might do this more often now?

What did you think of the Brits last night? Also… If you have any SUGGESTIONS for FOTD drop me a line in the comments box dolls :) Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

FOTD: Purple Valentine.

Hi dolls, I’m back with a quick Valentine’s FOTD for you lovelies! This is more of a night time look for those of you that are STUCK on what to do with your face tomorrow night, hehe!

Astral cream (it’s a fantastic moisturiser to make your skin look dewy & glowy with any foundation!! However this looks fairly matte as I used a setting powder.)
Cream based MAC Mineralized Foundation.
ELF HD Powder.
MAC Sheer Cover-up concealer.

Face Contour kit by Sleek.

This is what the look is like without the flash :) I thought I’d put it in here so you can see the full thing with no flash.

Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk by NYX as a primer.
Burgundy Noir Barry M Dazzle Dust on the lid.
Grey in Midnight Hour trio from myface.cosmetics on the crease.
Vex by MAC as a highlight.

Smoulder by MAC in the upper & lower waterline.
Exquisite Curl Mascara by No. 7.

Demi Wispies by Ardell.

Hush lip tar by OCC.
Summer Love lip stick by NYX.

Hope all of you had a lovely weekend & have an even better Valentine’s day tomorrow. Remember to spread the love ALL day every day (not just tomorrow LOL).

P.S – Happy Valentine’s Day Eve, dolls!! :D

FOTD: Sultry Valentine

Hey dolls, I’m back with a FOTD! My gorgeous little cousin, Ria who you may remember from a post last year HERE, was over. Oh, by little I clearly mean that I’m still living 10 years ago as she’s a grown woman now! But we decided to have a little make over time! I was going to do this look on myself but I LOVE doing other peoples’ make up so did a sultry Valentine’s day look on her!

YouRebel tinted moisturiser by Benefit.
Garnier Skin Natural Roll On Concealer.
ELF High Definition Powder.

Hocus Focus by Soap & Glory as a highlight.
Face Contour Kit by Sleek Makeup.

Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk by NYX as a primer.
Naked by Urban Decay on the Lid.
Showstopper by MAC on the crease.
Shroom by MAC as a highlight.
SuperSHOCK Mascara by Avon.
SuperSHOCK Gel Liner by Avon on upper & lower waterline.
Black Exaggerate liquid eye liner by Rimmel on upper lash line.

Brick High Definition lip liner by myface.cosmetics.
Vesuvio by Nars lipstick.

I absolutely love how the look turned out! I wasn’t going to put much on the eyes but decided to play them up a little. I also LOVED doing Ria’s brows! I threaded & tweezed them – seriously, it was so much fun!! I filled them in & neatened them up like THIS. I will try my best to squeeze another FOTD for Valentine’s day in this weekend for your dolls! Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)
